Welcome Back!
In this blog, I will show you what magazines I am using to inspire my own magazine. My team and I decided on using Vogue as our inspiration magazine. My main source of inspiration is Pinterest, “A visual discovery engine for finding ideas like recipes, home and style inspiration, and more.”
First, while creating my survey, the magazine that stuck out to me was the one shown below:
The “Vogue” in big lettering, either in front or behind the subject is often a trend in Vogue magazines. This detail will be added in my final magazine cover. As well as the name of my subject printed across the bottom of the page and a direct quote under the subjects name. This unique Vogue format and style will be the biggest inspiration in my groups magazines.
Secondly, I searched “ Vogue inspired table of contents” on Pinterest to find inspiration for my table of contents. What I chose will be shown below:
The big print for the title and numbers, different font sizes, and the format of the pictures were very big inspirations for my magazine’s table of contents. I made sure my pictures coincide with the stories listed on my table of contents.
Finally, I searched “ Vogue inspired double-page spreads” and what stuck out to me was the one shown below:
This double-page spread stuck out to me the most because it looks a lot more professional and classy, which is my ideal look for a fashion magazine.
